Description

“Absurdities” is a collection of three routines that embody Kyle’s mix of charm, creativity, and deceptive simplicity.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

Double False Faro Shuffle
This remarkably deceptive false shuffle will convince even the most skeptical audience that the deck has been thoroughly mixed. Kyle uses this as an opener — he shuffles the deck and then shows that the cards are still in new deck order. Once you learn it, you will definitely use it.

Something Something Something Unshuffled
If you know Kyle’s work, you know how much he loves Triumph routines. This one has a twist. A card is selected and lost in the pack. The cards are then fairly mixed face up into face down. You show that they are truly mixed in this chaotic way, yet with a little squeeze, the cards unshuffle themselves as you reveal that the face-up cards have completely separated themselves from the face-down cards. Then, with another squeeze, all the cards return to facing the same way, all except for one card … the participant’s card.

Willy Wonka Card Trick
Kyle’s take on Scott Robinson’s beloved effect. Visual, whimsical, and charmingly theatrical, this is the kind of effect that audiences remember long after the cards are back in the box. Kyle teaches two variations of this amazing routine. From a powerful opener that ends with the deck impossibly returning to new-deck order to a Triumph that looks like pure sleight-of-hand mastery (but is actually easier to do than it looks), “Absurdities is packed with strong, practical, and original magic.

A note from the creator: Kyle would like to extend his thanks to Scott Robinson, Christian Engblom, and Bill Goodwin for their continued inspiration and support.
