Javier Natera presents his Penn & Teller: Fool Us routine, “Synchronous”. This is a breathtaking, straightforward Sympathetic Card routine that is incredibly impossible, but easy enough for anyone to be able to do.

Two people. One deck. A perfect connection.

The deck is split in two, with the performer and the participant each taking half. Both the magician and participant place their packets under the table, freely selecting a card before placing it face-up in the center of their packet. When they place their packet on the table and spread, the two face-up cards match!

The magician invites the spectator to try it again, but this time, the magician leaves their packet on the table while the participant repeats the process. Despite never touching the cards, when the packets are spread, the cards match!
