The magician displays a paper bag, shows it empty, and sets it on the table.
He fans a deck of cards, and the spectator freely picks one and signs it.
The card is returned to the deck, which the spectator shuffles until they feel the pack is adequately mixed.
The spectator drops the deck into the bag…

The magician loosens his necktie and slips it over his head (or borrows a spectator’s necktie).
He shortens the neck loop, dips the tie into the bag, and lassos a single card from among the scattered deck.
It’s the spectator’s signed card!
